What is the lifespan of the building?

If the building is properly maintained you should get 15 years from our standard shed range and 20-30 years from all our other buildings. You must re-treat the building every year with our recommended preservatives and keep all debris and foliage off all surfaces. You may need to re-felt the roof at least once in this time.

What is the preservative?

We use Langlow Red Cedar spirit-based treatment. We have a custom made vertical dipping tank. This allows us to submerge the whole panel in the preservative and gives the hard-to-reach parts a good soaking. This is only a base coat and we recommend you then treat the exterior of the building with 2 coats of "sikkens HLS". We offer this product on a supply only or supply and apply basis. This will need to be re-coated every 2-3 years to keep the maximum protection. Please ask us to quote you for this work.
