Mr B was looking for a garden room for the corner of his garden to catch the morning sun. It would be backing on to an existing garage that has a 40degree roof pitch, and he though it would be nice to match that roof. After a site visit and some consultation, the design was set.
The building was based on our Merlin garden room; we removed the right hand windows, and made special size right hand side windows to match the front. This included a large opening window for ventilation.
We started with getting and old tree root removed, then we laid a concrete base. This base was extended out the front for a further 1-meter; at the back we laid a weed membrane and stones.
The building was installed with in two days and included; lining and insulation to the 4 walls roof and floor, double-gazing, tile effect laminated floor, red diagonal tiles to the roof and finished with 2 coats of Sikkens Walnut.Once the building was finished our electrician ran a new sub main out to the building from the garage then installed lighting and sockets, the heating is produced from a freestanding unit.
To finish the room off we laid a small patio to the front of the building that matched the existing patios in the garden.
