Mr & Mrs F were looking to extend their living space and have somewhere to play table tennis. They were also looking for some extra storage space to free up the garage. A site visit was arranged with Martin Baker. Many different design options were discussed and due to the size required for the main building and the position, it was decided that the main building would be 6000×3650mm (20×12ft) with a 3000×1450mm (10×4’6’’) storage shed attached to the back, linked with decking.
Mr & Mrs F accepted our quotation to do the whole project apart from digging the trench for the sub-main, which they decided they could do themselves. We set to work with a timber framed base that extended out to include the decking, also leaving the provision to add decking to the front at a later time.
The building chosen was our Kestrel garden room, with a tailor made woodpecker to attach to the back. The main building is insulated, lined and double glazed as standard, with additional options of our security pack. The customers were seeking a slightly different look than our standard finish, so they decided to add Black slate effect roof tiles, Satin chrome furniture and the whole building treated in Sadolin “Alumina” . This gives a very modern and striking look to a classic building. The storage part was designed to fit the ping pong table in and the double doors make this easily accessible.
Once the building was completed our electrician connected the sub-main, installed a 3kw Dimplex heater, 2 bow lights on dimmers, four chrome double sockets and an external PIR light. The system was installed as a TT installation, for maximum safety and protection.

Thanks Martin, the roof looks really good, if the other option works out too exspensive, then this is definately an acceptable option on my part!!. Thank you for all the time you took today. Speak soon. Kindest regards. Teresa

Hi Teresa,
Glad you like it, It goes so well with the paint colour doesn’t it. It was my pleasure to visit you and go through all your requirements today. I am working on the other option and look forward to seeing you at the show ground on Tuesday.
