Wooden Double garage

Mr R had an old garage which was in a state of disrepair and had not been used for some time. He was looking for a company to do the whole job, after a site visit and our quotation submitted Mr R gave us a small deposit to action the order.

We set to work disconnecting the water, and then dismantling the existing double garage, building a new retaining wall and creating a brick surround for a level footing.

The building is an 8.6×5m double garage with two up and over doors, a large workshop area at the side with a huge 3m covered area at the back. Also added was a pair of doors to the rear to give drive through capability, 2 glazed doors for light and a personal door for easy access. The rear canopy was supported by only 4 large posts and

gives a nice open usable space. Guttering was added to this aspect to collect the rain and the whole building was finished with 2 coats of walnut Sikkens.

  • "I purchased a large Raven workshop in Summer 2006, and have just come back to Bakers to order a smaller version for elsewhere in the garden. Having seen that the company now has this "comments" section, I want to say that I recommend the company unreservedly. The workshop has been really economical to heat for four winters now (I had it supplied fully insulated, which I would advise in the UK!), and has been completely watertight. My experience of working in the building has been a very positive one, and I'm delighted with the product.   • "Originally we used your Kestrel as an office to start our business with desk and computer. Now we use it as a garden summerhouse and utility room fully insulated with heating and lighting having the freezer and tumble drier. Around 14 years old it has matured into our patio area extremely well. It also has everything required for patio life, fridge, ice and drinks dispenser, barbecue accessories, even a television. Bakers' Timber buildings are most versatile and it has stood the test of time! What a great investment it was, every house should have one!!"
