Garden Room Case Study - 4896

A Customer Comment:
"Bakers was recommended to us by friends who had used them to design and fit a summer house. We visited the show room to look at the options available. From this point on, Bakers' service was fantastic! They were informative without being pushy, listened attentively as we tried to explore our ideas and made helpful suggestions based on their experience. Together we came to a clear plan. The work carried out was excellent from start to finish. It was on time, on budget and tidied up! The finished article is amazing; even better than our expectations. Bakers are so good because they know what they are doing! They are experts in their field and we were able to have complete confidence in them. Every person that was involved in the process was professional, personable and pleasant to have around! They obviously were committed to their work and carried it out to a very high standard. We would have no reservations in recommending them to others; in fact we already have!"

Contemporary Garden Room/Games Room:

This customer was principally looking for a building to house a snooker table and also to be used as a place to relax away from the house. After a site survey we advised on the options, and as the customer liked the feeling that the apex roof design gives, we positioned it two metres away from the boundary so as to conform to all of the planning and building regulations . The customer then visited our factory and showground to view all of our options and we finalised the details.
This building is a 6X4 metre Merlin and is part of our contemporary range of buildings. It is lined and insulated for all year round usability, as are all our garden rooms. Along with other options, this building features our lowE planitherm/ bio cool-light /argon gas double glazing, black slate effect shingle tiles and matching black guttering into a water butt each side. These options along with the Sadolin Superdec in jungle green preservative make for a beautiful looking building.
Internally the Vgroove walls were painted in our acrylic eggshell "Dove White" and along with the western oak laminate flooring, extra side Windows and the high ceiling that is a feature of the Merlin, it makes for a light and spacious room.
We installed two Dimplex convector heaters with timer and thermostat along with LED downlights internally and externally split out on dimmers and four double sockets. We also installed the customer's existing wall light and snooker light.
We then added to the front and decking area that was extended out by 2.7 m and is 7.2 m wide. To keep access to the left-hand side and also as a feature we take with the ends of the decking and this really finished the project off nicely and gives a usable decking area for garden furniture including table and chairs.

In May 2014 our customer added a smaller summer house which measures 9'4"x9'4" and complements beautifully both garden and larger timber garden room.
