Contractor? DLO? We want to hear from you!

Posted by Emma Jones on 24/11/14 16:24

Recently, we have been approached by several contractors and members of DLOs looking to develop a sustainability methodology for direct labour organizations (DLO). If you are interested in getting involved with something like this, here is your opportunity to help shape it. We are holding a workshop to discuss what this methodology would look like.

If you know a colleague who would also be interested, please forward this on to them.

In particular we would like to know what you would want included in such a service. For instance it could include:

  • an independent assessment of sustainability
  • benchmarking against peers
  • a detailed report with clear recommendations to help reduce environmental impacts
  • events throughout the year to where key policy issues are discussed and best practice examples provided
  • support throughout the year from the Baker Homes team including policy briefings and funding updates

We want to ensure any new potential service is practical and meets your needs.  We will be holding a workshop on 27th November with contractors, DLOs and some housing provider members.  Please come along for your opportunity to see how the benchmark might work, and to let us know your thoughts.
