Endless Pool Room Case Study 4514

Customer Comment:
"The building you constructed for us 3 years ago is absolutely great and we are truly enjoying being able to swim and exercise throughout the year.
It also looks beautiful and fits in really well with our surroundings.
We truly appreciate all the help you have given us".

Endless pools have a powerful jetstream within so you swim against a current whilst remaining in the same position. These are great exercise pools and give you the benefits of being able to accommodate it within a building and having running costs far cheaper than that of a full-sized swimming pool. Furthermore, if you're a keen tri-athlete then this is the perfect training as it is the closest replica to open water swimming that you can have.

Endless pool garden room in West Sussex

Working alongside Home Counties Swimming Pools, this customer was looking for an endless pool to go alongside her existing regular swimming pool to enable her to use it in the winter for exercise and therapy.

On the site survey we discovered a fairly unique situation where the customer was looking for the building to be positioned in between two tiers, knowing that we were going to be installing an endless pool, we made this work to our advantage by positioning the pool on the lower tier, then creating a steel and timber frame base around this, giving an impression that the Pool was sunk into the ground.

The building is based on our Merlin garden room and this one had an additional set of sliding doors to the front aperture to integrate the garden and house.  Extra windows were added to the back so three sides are fully glazed and the one blank side included a dehumidification system.

As the building was going to be seen predominantly from the front and side we installed the red diagonal tile and guttering to make this a real feature. Externally the building was finished in the walnut Sikkens and the entire inside was water sealed. The pool was positioned so you could walk around all four sides, still leaving a large area at the front which was used for gym equipment and changing.
