"For more years than I can remember I have wanted an indoor swimming pool, occasionally looking on the Internet to see what was out there. This year I discovered Endless Pools and was really intrigued. I contacted Craig at Home Counties Pools and went to try their Endless Pool, I was hooked. Craig referred me to Bakers Timber Buildings and I met with Martin Baker. From that moment on there was no going back and we now have a beautiful garden cabin housing an Endless Pool.
Martin and Craig managed the whole project for us and it ran like clockwork from the initial clearing and digging for the foundation to the erection of the cabin, the electrical work and the installation of the pool. Despite everything having to come through the house we were not inconvenienced in anyway, I have high praise for the professionalism of everyone involved. I was constantly kept in the loop, always knew when and at what time to expect anyone carrying out the work, everyone was polite and friendly and could answer any questions I had; everyone knew what everyone else was doing and when it would be done. I can honestly say the whole project was enjoyable and would recommend anyone thinking about an outdoor building to give Bakers Timber Buildings serious consideration".
Contemporary Kite Endless Pool Garden Room in London
This customer was recommended to us through Home Counties swimming pools that we have worked alongside on a number of previous projects. They had fallen in love with the endless swimming pool and were looking for a garden pool room for it to be housed in.
Upon conducting the site survey, all elements of the building options were discussed. Serious consideration was given to the building's base and general site access as this had to be made via the interior of the house. Normally in this situation we would install a steel and timber frame base, however due to the massively increased weight of a swimming pool, a reinforced concrete base was required and we quoted to have this pumped through the house. Furthermore, all of the building panels were made in smaller sections along with the swimming pool that comes in kit form.
Whilst pouring the base we also cast and laid concrete to the rear of the base and path at a lower level to not only give access to the pump-house, but also to provide the base for a small shed that would fit onto this. Once the concrete had dried we set to work with the installation of the building - ready to accept the endless swimming pool. Once the installation was complete, we handed over to Home Counties pool's and their Pool installation team and electrician not only got the Pool completed, but also installed all the electrics required including remote IP 65 wet room lights and sockets, and mural digital Pool speed indicator.
The room was then handed back to us to get the last bits of trimming and Aqua step wet room flooring complete and ready for customer handover. As always we love working with Home Counties swimming pools and giving the customer a seamless project from start to finish.
