Garden Office/Art Studio Case Study 5044

Customer Comment:
"When we decided to set up a garden print studio we opted for Bakers Buildings as we were already delighted with our ten-year old Bakers chalet which has been in constant use as an art studio.
On this occasion we chose the pent workshop design to our measurements of 13'6 x 10'6, which fitted perfectly into our long, narrow garden. We find the beautifully painted finish in Jungle Green quite unobtrusive yet very attractive.
The construction was carried out very professionally with the minimum of disruption. The base timbers were laid and secured in one day and the building erected and finished in a further two working days. The exterior painting and the interior undercoats had been applied at Bakers premises and on the third and final day the polite and genial two man team applied the interior finishes and the topcoat of paint.
Bakers were happy to advise and to act upon our special requirements such as load bearing flooring, secure locking doors and a concrete back wall to minimise maintenance.
All in all we were not inconvenienced in any way and were able to carry on with our normal activities without any concerns and we are completely satisfied with the finished building. Throughout the whole process we felt confident that the end product would meet all our requirements and we have not been disappointed".

Garden Room/Art Studio in Pevensey, East Sussex

Mr & Mrs S purchased a 'Kestrel' garden building from us almost 10 years ago and returned recently with the aim of acquiring a second garden building to house a printing press and that would serve as an all year round art studio . They were also looking for extra storage space to accommodate their artwork that had accumulated in their home over the years. From an initial telephone conversation,  a provisional quotation was provided. From there we visited the potential site and discussed in detail all of the building's requirements which included a reinforced floor to take the weight of the printing press. This then enabled us to create a formal quotation based on our 'Jay' home office. As with all our projects we don't provide estimations but rather detailed and exact quotations, giving you the peace of mind of knowing the entire cost of the project before committing to it.
A subsequent visit to our extensive showground helped them decide on all the building options which included 2 coats of our top coat preservative in 'Jungle Green'.Due to building regulations a fireproof wall was fitted to the rear of the building and because we kept the entire building under 2.5m in height, this entire project was able to be completed without the need of planning consent and it conforms to all rules and regulations.
