Sustainable Homes
Refurb - Renew - Regenerate

Thursday 6th November 2003

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre,
Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1P 3EE.

Conference Objectives:
Existing homes produce over one quarter of the CO2 in the UK. The housing stock is old, nearly half of it was built before 1945. A change of focus is needed to ensure existing homes are sustainable for the communities of the future.

Our conference will examine practical, realistic ways of improving the environmental performance of all social housing. It will also look at what lies behind the creation of sustainable communities and regenerating areas.

Delegates will be able to share ideas and learn about different approaches to refurbishment, regeneration, and environmentally friendly options for housing. Representatives of Government, leading campaign groups and housing innovators will be on hand to share knowledge and ideas in participatory sessions.

The conference is for anyone involved in the maintenance, management and development of social housing. It will also be of benefit to anyone with an interest in sustainable housing.

Green Street - delegates can preview Baker Homes’ new environmental refurbishment web tool. Green Street offers complete solutions to anyone involved in repairing, maintaining or refurbishing housing.
