Every day we are receiving questions about how to prepare for the Green Deal and what it means for affordable housing providers. The first question is often “Is the Energy Bill important to our sector?”

The Minister of State for Climate Change seems to think so. He says “I want to emphasise the crucially important role I believe the social housing sector has in the Government’s energy efficiency retrofit agenda. I’m confident that with your expertise you could help to kick start our flagship policy for efficiency, the Green Deal” Greg Barker, Minister of State for Climate Change
